In this short video I explain that believers ought to learn how to evangelize from the pastor of the church. In fact, Puritan ministers would visit with the families of the church and teach them how to do family worship and how to evangelize their children.
“And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up” (Deut. 6:7).
God gave peace and unity throughout our Heritage Reformed Congregations’ annual Synod this week and we pray now for His benediction on the numerous decisions made. The most major decision was this:
We are deeply grateful to report that all three men who were approved by the Board of Trustees of the Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary to serve as professors here—one for Systematic Theology, one for New Testament, and one for a variety of courses and assistant to the dean of students—were accepted by the HRC Synod. We are humbled by God’s goodness.
Pray that all three will also have freedom to give themselves for this important task and will serve God’s cause and kingdom ably and faithfully for many years at PRTS, training thousands of men for ministry in their lifetime—men who will then fan out all around the world to bring the unsearchable riches of Christ to churches, church plants, mission fields, and seminaries.
