Teach Them to Work: Building a Positive Work Ethic in Our Children

My dear wife Mary spent scores of evenings working silently at my side in my study with me during the past year of pandemic restrictions pecking away at writing a book on a subject that has been burning in her soul for years. I am grateful to report that her new book—“Teach Them to Work: Building a Positive Work Ethic in Our Children” (Reformation Heritage Books, 224 pages)—which deals with both parental and practical examples, has finally arrived!

Our friend Paul Washer writes, “Mary Beeke has written a remarkable book on the privilege and art of raising children. It is theological, practical, insightful, helpful, and a delight to read. As I turned the pages, I felt as though I was reading from a Reformed or Puritan classic on the family that had been re-crafted by the pen of a contemporary writer and made accessible to all. I recommend this work without reservation — not only to parents but also to their children.”

Questions Women Asked: Historical Issues, Timeless Answers

We are excited to announce the publication of Simonetta Carr’s masterful book, “Questions Women Asked: Historical Issues, Timeless Answers,” which provides captivating biographies of 31 women throughout church history.

Each biography draws attention to a major question that each woman asked in her lifetime—most of which are still being asked today. This is a page-turner—certainly one of the best books RHB has ever published for women—and by the way, men will enjoy reading it as well! I thoroughly enjoyed doing a final edit of this remarkably informative and practical book.
