Herman Witsius’s Economy of the Covenants

I am pleased to announce that RHB has reprinted Herman Witsius’s classic, “Economy of the Covenants” (2 vols.), which walks through the whole of systematic theology from a covenantal perspective. This reprint includes prefaces by J. I. Packer and me. Mark Beach writes that Witsius’s work is “a pinnacle achievement in the history of Reformed doctrine.”

The Hardest Things About Family Worship

In this video, I explain that it can be difficult for fathers to practically teach their family and apply Scripture to everyday life. It is important for fathers to bring Scripture to bear on every part of life. We want fathers to be teaching their children every day. By the time children leave the home, it should be a father’s goal that there has been no significant area of life that they haven’t talked about with their Dad in detail about what Scripture has to say.

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Prov. 22:6).
